Seen & Heard was my second Developer role. This was an incredibly interesting job as I was the only developer in the company. Seen & Heard mostly did graphic and video design work, and it was my job to convert their work into code to be hosted in numerous ways. Every task was different here and definitely kept me on my toes. I learnt an incredible amount as I had no one for guidance, and had to study and revise every aspect to ensure each task I completed was up to scratch. I created some interesting and unique software working here.
As quite a chatty individual, I found a lot of clients through word of mouth who wanted websites or updates to their current sites. I decided to create TechGecko to allow me to freelance on the side. I have loved this side to the coding world, meeting clients, designing their site from start to finish, completing the site in its entirety solo was incredibly rewarding. As I made more sites, I found more clients, and I’m proud of the sites I have created.
TR10 was my first insight into the world of web development. I had studied for 4 months and managed to land a job as a front end developer. It was in TR10 where I learnt the bread and butter of being a developer. My jobs seemed to change weekly, allowing me to learn and study in all different avenues. I developed strong PHP, SCSS and Bootstrap skills here, alongside SEO and Google Ad work.

I was General Manager at Horticulture, overseeing everything and everyone. I excel with people and spent a lot of my time training and supporting my team. I managed sales, rotas, products, stock, team management, training, complaints, bookings, the works. I helped open the venue and watching Horticulture grow and develop consistently every week was incredibly rewarding. I felt incredibly motivated running Horticulture.
